As every year, from 1 August 2023, tariffs for the use of the HV-B public transmission system are changing. RTE has summarised the impacts of these changes for its customers.

The  tariffs for using public transmission systems in the high voltage range, known as "TURPE 6 HTB", came into force on 1 August 2021.

These tariffs, validated by the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) for a period of four years, are subject to an annual revision on 1 August of each year.

In accordance with the CRE deliberation of 31 May 2023 (deliberation n°2023-136), the tariffs for use of the high voltage range will increase by an average of 6.69% on 1 August 2023.

This increase is regulated and is based on the methods defined at the start of TURPE, namely:

  • Accounting for inflation (+4.20%)
  • Automatic annual indexation coefficient (+0.49%)
  • Taking into account the balance of the CRCP (income and expenditure adjustment account) for which a surplus was paid to users at the start of the year (+2%)

For a more precise understanding of the impact of this change on each component of the various tariff versions, updated tariff lists are available on the Service Portal (Facturation > Comprendre la facture Invoicing section > Understanding your invoice).

Alongside this tariff update, the implementation of TURPE 6 also provided for a gradual adjustment of the number of hours of use of each tariff version. A new phase of this adjustment is being rolled out from 1 August 2023.

In order to support each customer during this period, RTE have carried out tariff optimisations. For further information, customers can contact their usual account manager.
