This notice serves to bring IFA and IFA2’s non-IEM Access Rules and Charging Methodology into effect at 00:00 on 31st December 2020. These Access Rules can be found on the IFA website.

Last year, Ofgem approved the non-IEM Access Rules for IFA and IFA2, submitted by National Grid Interconnectors Limited (NGIL) and National Grid IFA2 Limited (NGIFA2) respectively. These Access Rules were created and approved for the case where, following the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, it ceases participation in those platforms and mechanisms associated with the Internal Energy Market, something which is forecasted to occur on 31st December 2020.

This notice serves to bring IFA and IFA2’s non-IEM Access Rules and Charging Methodology into effect at 00:00 on 31st December 2020. These Access Rules can be found on the IFA website.

NGIL and NGIFA2 reserve the right to amend or withdraw this notice in the unlikely event that the United Kingdom does not cease participation in the Internal Energy Market on 31st December 2020. Should this occur, NGIL and NGIFA2 shall publish a further notice via the Customer Portfolio Team/IFA website.
