This coming feature will permit to reach the minimum capacity requirements on SWE region.
The Article 16(8) of the Electricity Regulation establishes the minimum capacity requirements for cross zonal trades. The minimum capacity shall be 70 % of the transmission capacity respecting operational security limits
In 2020 and 2021, in SWE, RTE had a derogation in order to consolidate the operational experience of coordinated capacity calculation and finalize the validation tools for costly measures when relevant.
Starting Tuesday 1st of February (with the first application date on the 3rd) the “CEP fulfilment” (CEP - Clean Energy Package) set in place will permit to reach those requirements.
The data from this mechanism will be available on JAO platform, not earlier than the second half of 2022.
