As required by the IFA2 Access Rules, RTE publishes the IFA2 Loss Factor.

IFA2 Access Rules Annex 1, Deemed Metered Volume Allocation, 2. Losses, states that the Loss Factor applied is to be published on the RTE and NGIL websites. This notice fulfils that requirement. After the IFA2 go-live, this information will be published on the RTE portal.

The physical flow on the Interconnector is subject to losses. The Operators apply a Loss Factor (“LF”) to calculate each User’s share of the losses in regard of his netted nomination rights (as amended by any curtailment). The Loss Factor is symmetrical between Mid-Channel and either end of the Interconnector (Daedalus and Tourbe).

The IFA2 Loss Factor applied by the Operators is 1.475%.

As described in IFA2 Access Rules Annex 1, Deemed Metered Volume Allocation, 2. Losses, any change to the Loss Factor shall be notified to Users at least 5 business days before the change is to take effect.
