A digital service to run initial simulations before engaging with RTE
Before launching a grid connection study, renewable energy and storage project developers can now test several location scenarios. With SimuRacco, RTE provides a digital service that enables users to carry out initial online simulations independently.
SimuRacco offers indicative estimates of grid connection costs and timelines, as well as information on network access conditions, including limitations applicable to storage projects and the reserved and available S3REnR capacity for renewable generation. These elements help developers better assess the compatibility of a project with the transmission network before requesting a detailed study.
Designed as a pre-qualification tool, SimuRacco supports project developers in refining their scenarios and focusing grid connection study requests on the most relevant projects, in line with their technical and economic objectives.
The simulator covers radial connections to HTB1 and HTB2 substations, for projects up to 250 MW and short connection distances. The data used is regularly updated and provides a generic view of the transmission network, without taking into account the specific environmental and territorial constraints of each connection project.
Please note: the results provided by SimuRacco are non-binding and do not replace an exploratory study carried out by RTE.
